Exciting news, YTL Hotels opens its latest hotel the much anticipated Ritz-Carlton Niseko on 15th December 2020 in the winter wonderland of Higashiyama Niseko Village just minutes from our project SnowDog Village. This will be the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Japan and the resort will have 50 rooms and suits of alpine luxury with great views of Mount Yotei and the surrounding mountain range, sitting at the foothill of Mount Niseko Annupuri. In the summer it sits next to Niseko golf course and for the winter it is ski-in and ideal if you are a beginner, intermediate or even an adventurous backcountry skier. Everyone can get to enjoy the extraordinary powder snow that Niseko is famed for, along with unique gastronomy, culture and traditions through its collection of authentic and affluent experiences all-year-round. The Ritz-Carlton also has luxury amenities include two distinctive restaurants and one lounge, a spa and onsen and a fitness centre.
The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui
This isn't YTL's first Ritz-Carlton Hotel having originally developed The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui which they opened a few years ago to great success. It sits in a bay with amazing ocean views across the Gulf of Thailand. This project has really helped increase the property prices in the area in Koh Samui, and we expect exactly the same to happen in Niseko Village, as this also happened in Vail when The Ritz-Carlton Club opened there. Property prices increased by some 25% over the first 2 years of its opening.
Yukibana Lounge - Ritz-Carlton Reserve Niseko
As a property owner in Niseko Village, this is very exciting news as it not only will help with the real estate prices but will increase the presence of the area into a branded resort, along with adding a further two more restaurants and a lounge to the already varied variety of cuisine & entertainment found in Niseko Village at the moment.
Whilst taking a step back to evaluate the property cycle, we see that the new set of buyers represent an increase in speculation-oriented investors versus the traditional lifestyle buyers, who in the past have been end-users and not so interested in the return on investment as these new buyers are. This again points to a maturation of the real estate market. Another prime observation of C9 Hotelworks newly released Niseko Property Review is the emergence of a growing number of international hotel brands on top of The Ritz-Carlton Niseko which include the highly-successful Park Hyatt Hotel and Residences Hanazono opened in December 2019, and upcoming project the luxury Aman Niseko. As well as these, YTL has a number of other branded hotels in the pipeline including the W and Moxy Hotel, designed to focus on the younger cooler market.
Niseko Village Golf Course
All in all Niseko Village has a lot of exciting developments happening now and over the coming years, and is for sure one of the locations that investors should be looking at to capitalise on the demand that is growing year on year for real estate in Niseko - last year along 1.97B USD in transactions took place, up from 1.3B USD from 2018.
At SnowDog Village we are excited to welcome The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Niseko to the growing number of quality hotels, resorts & chalets villages that are popping up in Higashiyama Niseko Village that includes The Hilton, Green Leaf, Hinode Hills and Koa.
