Prime Minister Kishida held a press conference yesterday 22nd September in New York and announced a policy to start nationwide travel support measures and event business stimulus measures from October 11th. He will remove the limit on the number of people entering the country and allow free personal travel, and exempt short-term visas.
We are happy at JNW that Japan is finally following the other G9 countries and opening borders and allowing free travel internally. There is a huge demand for Japanese travel and this has not come soon enough in our eyes with the ski season just around the corner. I am sure we are all looking forward to visiting Japan soon.
