I would like you to meet Rena, here with her Newfoundland dog Pazoo, in the gorgeous Niseko countryside with the beautiful Cherry Blossom in the background.
In this time of crisis we have been taking the future of SnowDog Village seriously and at the moment although our resort is closed to everyone except the owners, their family & friends we are excited to introduce you to Rena Okino who has this month joined the SnowDog family as our General Manager to Japan. She will be focusing on increasing the local & expat domestic market through various marketing initiatives, as we know this is a large untapped revenue stream. We have already started Facebook & Instagram posts in Japanese as well as English and will role this out over the coming months so that we are ready for when travel is less restricted. Keep an eye out for our soon to be launched reservations website which we will share on July 1st this year!
On a bright note one of our Japanese owners is lucky enough to be staying at SnowDog Village with her 2 children and they are loving all the space and solitude. The kids had been enjoying the snow, and now spring is here they are loving the garden and forest with the wildlife all around. Ski Japan & Rena have done a great job in making sure that they settled in and have all the up to date information so their needs are met whilst still keeping the acceptable social distancing.

"I have lived and worked in Niseko for over 10 years now. Having lived in Germany, US and Australia, I then moved from Tokyo to Niseko following my passion for resort hospitality and outdoor life. I have extensive experience in property management and resort accommodation, and I am excited to be part of the SnowDog Village family. You will often find me skiing and snow-shoeing in the winter or trekking and walking my dog in the beautiful landscape of Hokkaido in the summer."

We will get all your needs sorted whether it’s a rental car for the duration of your stay or how to spend your 14-day quarantine once you arrive here or a variety of outdoor activities and fresh local gourmet you can indulge in. We welcome you all year around and I hope I’ll have a chance to share some of Niseko’s summer secrets with all of you. In fact, many of us living in Niseko have moved here for the winter but end up falling in love with the summer and staying here for many years after.
